HH The 11th Panchen Lama Long Life Prayer

This prayer requests the 11th Panchen Lama to take a long life for the benefit of all sentient beings. The ‘Ten Perfections of Powers’ mentioned in the prayer are the qualities of intention, resolute intention, concentration, perfect application, authority, confidence, prayers, great love and compassion.
Gedun Choekyi Nyima, the 11th Panchen Lama, was born on 25th April 1989. Having been recognised by HH the Dalai Lama as the true reincarnation of the 10th Panchen Lama, he was taken with his family by the Chinese authorities from their home in Central Tibet.
Since then he has been held in conditions of complete secrecy, unable to receive religious instruction in Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.
